After the publication of the “5th RYCO Open call” Regional Youth Cooperation Office – RYCO, the Board of our Scout Group, on the proposal of our young members, decided to apply with a project whose content is aimed at encouraging intercultural dialogue and learning, as well as suppressing hate speech among young people in the Western Balkans – from North Macedonia, Bosnia and Herzegovina and Serbia. For the preparation and management of the project we appointed the Board member Ema Tepavac.

As partners in the project, we have Scout Group “Sandžak” from Novi Pazar, Scout Group “Dimitar Vlahov” from Veles, North Macedonia , Scout Group “22.April” from Banja Luka, Bosnia and Herzegovina and “Zeukstriton” – Association for Ecology and promotion of culture and sports from Rostus, Mavrovo, North Macedonia. We chose the name “LINE UP” for the name of the project.

During the month of December, we were informed by the RYCO that the project was accepted. On that occasion, we received an invitation to participate in the training for grantees RYCOnnecting Youth on December 22 in Tirana. The members of the Board Ema Tepavac and Slobodan Tepavac participated in the meeting, and on that occasion they signed a contract on the implementation of the project. Our members had the opportunity with other participants to exchange experiences and share knowledge and make new friends. Also during their stay in Tirana they had the opportunity to get acquainted with the historical and cultural heritage of both Albania and Tirana. We hereby thank RYCO, which will support this important activity for us and enable young people from the Western Balkans to gain new experiences, knowledge and friendships.
